![]() ![]() The Supreme Court in TSR Subramanian and others versus Union of India case, had issued orders on Oct 31, 2013, banning oral instructions by political bosses, citing that such orders will defeat the objectives of the transparency law and give rise to favouritism and corruption. The explanation (accessed by TOI) was sought by the additional chief secretary (revenue), based on the instructions from CMO. The CM said so at the district collectors’ conference Sept 28-29 citing that the government is planning to amend the land assignment rules and till then the action against illegal constructions should be suspended. Pinarayi Vijayan had asked Idukki’s administration to stop action against illegal activities that were undertaken in the land assigned under the land assignment rules, 1964. THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Government has sought an explanation from Devikulam sub-collector Rahul Krishna Sharma for his refusal to implement the oral orders of the chief minister. ![]()
