Hi Thomas,In your case, we’d like to confirm the following information:1. What’s the version of your Mac (Go to top menuClick Apple iconAbout this Mac) and PowerPoint (Go to PowerPointClick PowerPoint on the top menuAbout PowerPoint).2.
Does it happen to other files or the specific file?If it happens to this specific file, could you try removing the affected images and then adding them again? This should be the easiest way to solve the problem. If the issue persists, please let us know where the pictures are stored.Best Regards,Rodney. If a presentation was saved using the problem update of PowerPoint, you will have to reconstruct your presentation. Once the damage has been done, it's permanent. Before fixing, be sure to go to the PowerPoint menu and choose About PowerPoint. You should have version 15.35 or later. If not, please install updates before trying to work with any presentations.Make sure your Mac has a working internet connection before checking for updates.

H i ArturoSheimberg,Please try create a new presentation, save it and open, to check if the application works normally.1. You may try to rebuild according to Rohn007’s suggestion, and keep in mind you should create a copy of the damaged presentation file.Note: The steps Rohn provides are done in Windows. To help move this case forward, please share more information below,1.
Does this problem occur with the particular document or the problem occur when you open a new document?2.Disclaimer: Microsoft provides no assurances and/or warranties, implied or otherwise, and is not responsible for the information you receive from the third-party linked sites or any support related to technology.Regards,Moja. There was a build of PowerPoint about a year ago that unfortunately corrupted files it saved. The cure was to re-create the presentations from scratch. However, in your case, you seem to indicate the file did open OK in 15.40 and the corruption occurred after saving from version 15.40. Do I understand this correctly?
Or did you open the file this morning, make no changes, but when you opened later in theday when you opened it you saw the error messages?Either way, my first troubleshooting suggestion is for you to start your Mac in Safe Mode. My hunch is there is file system corruption. Starting your Mac in Safe mode should fix this if you have El Capitan or newer Mac OS.To start your Mac in Safe Mode, Restart your Mac and then hold the Shift key down the moment the startup chime sounds.
It will take along time to boot your Mac to Safe Mode (especially if it is fixing problems which you won't really know), so don't be alarmed.Once you get to the Safe Mode desktop, do a regular restart and try opening the presentation again.I am an unpaid volunteer and do not work for Microsoft.
